ABOUT THE
ARTIST
Hello, I’m Aspen.
I’m an artist and photographer based in Denver, Colorado.
Zion Designs began as a fine art endeavor, but over time, my work expanded into something more personal and more human: a way of paying attention.
A way of translating presence, place, and connection into images that feel grounded, intentional, and enduring.
I’m less interested in spectacle than in meaning. In the quiet relationships between people and their environments. In the way light settles, the way a subject holds themselves, the way a moment reveals more when it isn’t rushed..
THROUGH MY EYES
My work is guided by observation rather than interruption.
Whether I'm photographing landscapes, companions, or people, I approach each session with the same philosophy: presence first. I take time to understand rhythm, temperament, and context before ever closing the shutter.
I'm drawn to images that carry weight without demanding it—grounded but not rigid, expressive but not performed. Images that hold emotional weight not because they demand attention, but because they invite it.
This approach allows my work to remain timeless rather than trend-driven, rooted in clarity rather than excess.
WHERE I’M ROOTED
Living and working in Colorado has shaped the way I see the world.
The landscape here teaches patience and scale — long horizons, shifting light, quiet persistence. I move between urban environments and mountain spaces often, and that contrast informs my work: structure and softness, intention and openness, precision and ease.
I work within digital mediums, always exploring how color, texture, and composition can transform the familiar.
Not into something louder — but into something quietly striking.
LIFE OUTSIDE THE FRAME
When I’m not working, I’m usually exploring — hiking, reveling in the flavors of life, making art, or adventuring through this amazing state with my dog, Zion, close by.
These moments matter to my practice. They keep me attentive. They remind me why presence is worth protecting, and why images carry more meaning when they’re made with care rather than urgency.
That's the foundation of Zion Designs: work that feels considered — one image, one session, one piece at a time.
A LIFE LIVED WITH ATTENTION
At the heart of my work is a love for exploration — not just of places, but of moments.
I’m drawn to long trails, changing light, shared meals, and the quiet rituals that make up a life well-lived. Time spent outdoors, with family, chosen family, and the companions who walk beside us, has shaped how I see what matters and how quickly it can pass.
That perspective carries into my work. I don’t rush what deserves care. I pay attention to the in-between moments, the relationships that ground us, and the environments that hold our stories.
Whether I’m photographing people, companions, or landscapes, my goal is the same: to create images that feel honest, enduring, and rooted in real connection.
I’m a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
